Compensation: $150,000 to $225,000 base salary plus another 15% bonus, and stock options (offers are negotiable)




Location: Onsite/hybrid in Bellevue, Washington.

Overview:

This role is for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to design, implement, and deploy scalable software solutions in highly available environments.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping the architecture and development of software components. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality applications using modern technologies like microservices, cloud computing, and containerization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working cross-functionally with DevOps, product, and design teams to bring impactful solutions to life.




Responsibilities:

Software Development & Engineering:
  • Design and build robust external APIs to streamline customer onboarding and integration.
  • Develop and maintain high-performance, large-scale services and transactional systems.
  • Create and manage REST APIs and event-driven systems for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure high system availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Take full ownership of API lifecycle, including SLAs, monitoring, incident management, and responding to user feedback.

Collaboration & Innovation:
  • Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams including product managers, designers, and engineers to develop API-as-a-product strategies.
  • Brainstorm and prototype new features or services to enhance platform capabilities.
  • Contribute to design improvements and suggest optimizations for existing workflows.

Technical Expertise:
  • Lead engineering initiatives and develop end-to-end software solutions.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of system operations, data flow, and architectural dependencies.
  • Participate in the automation of infrastructure and deployments.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay current with new technologies and development practices.

Leadership & Mentorship:
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, offering support and feedback.
  • Share technical knowledge through internal workshops and learning sessions.
  • Provide clear and detailed documentation for systems, processes, and codebases.

Strategic Contribution:
  • Identify and assess new technologies that align with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate how current or emerging tools can drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Participate in defining and refining the technical strategy across projects.

Documentation:
  • Produce and maintain documentation for software systems, code, and technical processes.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to inform stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and SaaS-based platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and cloud services.
  • Proficient in Agile development practices and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of core computer science principles, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Experience with Spring Boot and MongoDB or Cosmos DB.
  • Familiarity with third-party API integrations and large-scale distributed systems.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
