Clean Room Technician (multiple openings)

Multiple openings on multiple shifts immediately available.

 

Compensation: Up to $35/hour plus overtime (10 hours weekly is available) 11 paid holidays, multiple weeks PTO, and full healthcare benefits.

 

Location: Huntsville, AL. These positions are 100% onsite at a space rocket facilities with no possibility of remote or work-from-home.

 

Positions are 6-24 month contract-to-hire opportunities with high possibility to convert to FTE.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support Test and Flight ground systems. Clean and passivate hardware using means such as solvent/chemical, mechanical, ultrasonic, and precision cleaning methods.
  • Safely handle hardware using overhead cranes, hoists, and associated lifting equipment.
  • Use titration and other direct measurement methods to analyze and correct CPV Lab solvent/chemical systems.
  • Inspect hardware using visual, UV light, borescope, microscopic particle count, and high-precision weighing methods.
  • Package accepted hardware and supplies for storage or shipment.
  • Perform shop-level maintenance and calibration of equipment such as pumps, tanks, filtration systems, scales, etc.
  • Conduct general housekeeping of CPV Lab and Certified Clean Room area.
  • Must be able to be respirator certified.
  • Follow safety regulations and wear protective eyewear, steel-toe boots, and other applicable personal protective equipment.







Minimum Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail, desire to solve problems, and drive to resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to lift items to 40 lbs. and use lifting equipment and machinery for heavier hardware.
  • Must possess initiative, a strong work ethic, and a proven ability to adhere to directions and meet expectations.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with software systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.




Desired but not required Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in precision cleaning of aerospace, medical, or other precision components.
  • Prior experience inspecting aerospace mechanical components or fluid systems.
  • Experience with applying coatings to aerospace components.
