Job Description

Customer Operations & Communications Manager

San Francisco, CA (Onsite – 5 days/week)

Full-time

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a fast-growing B2B software company that’s transforming how businesses communicate with their customers through modern, cost-effective messaging solutions. In just a short time, the company has scaled from zero to tens of millions in annual recurring revenue with a lean, high-performing team — and demand continues to outpace supply.

This is a rare chance to join early, take real ownership, and help build a category-defining business alongside a small, ambitious team.

The Role

The Customer Operations & Communications Manager will play a critical role in scaling the company’s enterprise customer experience. This person will own high-touch client relationships end-to-end, act as the primary point of contact for key customers, and serve as a bridge between clients and internal operations.

You’ll thrive here if you enjoy working directly with customers, bringing structure to fast-moving environments, and translating real-world customer needs into scalable internal processes.

What You’ll Do
  • Own customer-facing communication for enterprise and high-touch accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring they receive proactive support and guidance
  • Manage inbound questions and complex requests while keeping multiple customer threads organized
  • Partner closely with internal operations and product teams to translate customer feedback into clear action items
  • Support customer adherence to messaging and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational strategy as the company scales

What We’re Looking For

Experience
  • 0–6 years of experience in a customer-facing, operations, or client services role
  • Background in a high-growth startup or fast-paced environment where you’ve worn multiple hats
  • Exposure to technical, operational, or compliance-oriented products is a plus

Skills & Traits
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling competing priorities
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited structure
  • Naturally customer-centric and energized by direct client interaction
  • Strong sense of ownership and willingness to work hard to drive outcomes

Nice to Have
  • Experience documenting processes or managing workflows
  • Familiarity with regulated communication channels or similar industries

Who This Role Is Not For
  • Candidates seeking highly structured, slow-moving environments
  • Individuals who prefer people management over hands-on execution
  • Those uninterested in direct customer interaction

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $100, 000 – $150, 000
  • Equity: Competitive
  • Visa Support: Available on a case-by-case basis (US work authorization preferred)

Location & Timing
  • Onsite role in San Francisco, CA (5 days/week)
  • Hiring immediately
  • Hiring 1 individual for this position
