Compensation: $25-40/hr (negotiable)

 

Location: Seattle, WA. Employees must be able to come onsite daily.

What you'll do:

The Electrician is responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and repairing electrical systems and components on yachts in various stages of construction. 
  • Our Electricians run a lot of cable. You will help wire up the entire boat and all of its systems. Custom yachts can have 100+ unique systems that all need power and our Electricians run all of this cable. It is a mixture of residential, commercial and industrial electrical work. 
  • Performing electrical work as part of a team
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, controls, appliances, fixtures, lighting, audio/visual, low voltage systems, etc.
  • Able to read drawings, blueprints, technical data, schematics, etc.
  • Creating and installing wireways and raceways in overheads, bulkheads, walls, and other areas of the boat
  • Pulling cables and wiring thru wireways and raceways
  • Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces damaged or non functioning items
  • Providing temporary power and lighting to work areas
  • Generally performing work in the cabinet shop, occasionally at heights, in small spaces, and on vessels
  • Safe operation of equipment and tools including numerous hand, power and air tools, multimeter, scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and ensure that all tools, materials, and flammable chemicals are stored properly
  • Other duties as assigned







What you need to succeed:

To succeed, you will be eager to grow and learn, have a great attitude, and be able to pay close attention to detail.
  • 3+ years as an Electrician, working on various electrical systems.
  • Any mixture of residential, commercial and industrial electrical work is acceptable. 
  • We are not a part of the WA LNI electrical program (01, 02, 06, etc) and we do not require licensing for our team. 
  • Stand/walk for 8+ hours per day
  • Frequent use of stairs, ramps, ladders and stools
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Extended periods of overhead work 
  • Bend, kneel and crawl on a regular basis
  • Frequent and repetitive arm and hand motions, handling, grasping, etc
  • Frequent reaching below knees, knees to shoulders and above shoulders
  • Wear necessary personal protection equipment including respiratory protection equipment, safety glasses/goggles, rubber gloves, coveralls, hearing protection, fall protection, etc.
  • Clear vision (with or without corrective lenses)
  • Hearing as needed to recognize alarms
