Executive Producer

Los Angeles, CA

Posted: 05/06/2026 Industry: Leadership Job Number: 3594558 Pay Rate: 225000/year - 250000/year

Job Description

Executive Producer (Premium Non-Fiction / Educational Content)

Location: Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY; or San Francisco, CA (primary)

Compensation: $225,000 – $250,000 base + equity

Overview

We’re partnering with a well-funded, high-growth digital content platform to hire a senior-level Executive Producer to lead the creation of premium, non-fiction educational content.

This is a hands-on creative leadership role focused on developing cinematic, story-driven content that delivers real-world value—not just entertainment. You’ll work directly with world-class subject matter experts and translate their knowledge into compelling, structured learning experiences.

If you’re someone who prefers building and creating—not just overseeing—this role offers a rare opportunity to shape high-impact content at scale.

What You’ll Do
  • Own a slate of high-impact content projects end-to-end (concept → development → production → post)
  • Identify and pitch new content ideas, maintaining a strong pipeline of concepts
  • Conduct on-camera interviews with high-profile individuals, extracting meaningful insights and stories
  • Write scripts, interview frameworks, and structured learning content
  • Direct and guide production teams through filming and post-production
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at a premium creative standard
  • Mentor and lead producers, setting a high bar for storytelling and execution

What We’re Looking For
  • 15+ years of experience in creative production (Executive Producer, Showrunner, Creative Producer, etc.)
  • Strong background in non-fiction, documentary, or factual television/content
  • Experience producing content for major platforms, networks, or large-scale audiences
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (4–5+ per year)
  • Exceptional storytelling and writing skills (especially interview-driven formats)
  • Experience working directly with high-profile talent and guiding interviews in real time
  • Ability to balance premium quality with fast production timelines

Ideal Background
  • Experience across both documentary-style storytelling and faster-turn content formats
  • Hands-on involvement in building projects from early-stage concept (not just execution)
  • Strong creative instincts paired with operational discipline

What Makes This Role Compelling
  • Opportunity to create content that has real educational and personal impact
  • Work directly with top-tier talent across industries
  • Backed by significant funding and continued investment in content growth
  • Positioned at the intersection of storytelling, education, and emerging technology

Additional Details
  • Must be based in or willing to work primarily from Los Angeles, New York, or San Francisco
  • Valid passport required for occasional international travel
  • Portfolio or credits list required (IMDb, reel, or equivalent)
