Two exciting Field Service Engineer positions have opened due to growth. Rainier Recruiting has partnered with a global Maritime Transportation company. Compensation: $30-34/hour + up to 10 hours of overtime available weekly. Employees often earn 1.5x their base pay with overtime pay.

 

Location: New Orleans, LA. This role will include a combination of travel, office, home, and field work. Employees can expect to travel nationally and regionally up to 60% each month. The hired employees must live in the general New Orleans area. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Perform onboard service and commissioning of KM Energy Systems on vessels.
  • Provide troubleshooting support via phone and email channels.
  • Execute service tasks as per customer requests.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of service reports, timesheets, and expense reports in accordance with work orders.
  • Create and update As-Built Documentation and Drawings as needed.
  • Participate in internal and external training courses to enhance qualifications.
  • Assist sales and marketing teams by providing technical information.
  • Coordinate with customers and internal engineering teams as necessary.

 

Qualifications and Experience: 
  • Technical Degree or Certificate of Apprenticeship in the relevant field.
  • Possession of Low Voltage or High Voltage certificates, enabling work with electrical systems up to 1000VAC/1500VDC or above 1000VAC (High voltage).
  • Experience as an Electrician (minimum 4 years), Drive/VFD Technician, LV or HV Switchboard builder, or Battery Technician.
