Compensation: $35-50/hour

Location: Seattle, WA. This role will require some travel 1-2 weeks out of every month. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on complex mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems for various customer equipment and tools, using a high level of independent judgment.
  • Responsible for documenting services and providing training to junior technicians when needed.
  • Accurately order necessary parts from vendors and travel to customer sites as required.
  • Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn or damaged parts.
  • Address diesel engine issues by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and systems, including power trains, drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, and emissions.
  • Complete paperwork to accurately record hours worked on each job.
  • Adhere to a consistent work schedule.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience: 
  • Understand the importance of time management, adherence to operating procedures, and compliance with owner’s manuals and product warning labels.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to perform basic computer operations.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
  • Exhibit a high level of safety awareness and a clear understanding of equipment safety protocols.
  • Be willing and able to travel on short notice as needed.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in handling customer interactions, especially in challenging situations, with good phone etiquette, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience with technical repairs on diesel engines.
  • Strong technical and mechanical skills, with in-depth diesel product knowledge.
  • Post-secondary vocational education is highly preferred.
  • Systems certification is required.
