Hybrid | New York, NY | Full-Time

$145,000–$180,000 Base + Bonus Potential

About the Role

A growing technology company is seeking a People & Culture Manager to lead HR support across multiple business functions and partner closely with leadership on employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development initiatives.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys balancing strategic partnership with day-to-day execution. The ideal candidate is confident coaching senior leaders, navigating complex employee matters, and helping build a strong, collaborative workplace culture.

The position supports the full employee lifecycle including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, engagement initiatives, and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

HR Business Partnership
  • Serve as the primary People & Culture partner for assigned departments
  • Advise leaders on employee relations, team development, performance management, and organizational effectiveness
  • Support workforce planning and team growth initiatives
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and best practices

Recruiting & Hiring
  • Partner with leaders to define hiring needs and ideal candidate profiles
  • Lead intake meetings and candidate screening efforts
  • Guide hiring managers through interview and selection processes
  • Collaborate with HR operations teams on postings, scheduling, and onboarding coordination

Employee Relations & Performance Management
  • Coach managers through performance conversations and employee challenges
  • Support investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions when needed
  • Help leaders navigate corrective action and development planning
  • Ensure HR practices align with employment law and company policy

Employee Experience & Culture
  • Help reinforce a collaborative, high-performing culture
  • Partner with leadership on engagement initiatives and team-building efforts
  • Act as a trusted resource for employees and managers alike
  • Support communication and change management efforts across teams

HR Operations
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and employee records
  • Partner with HR operations teams on HRIS updates, reporting, and process improvements
  • Support promotions, transfers, organizational changes, and offboarding activities

What We’re Looking For
  • 6–12 years of HR or People Operations experience within a B2B technology environment
  • Strong experience supporting the full employee lifecycle
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior leadership teams
  • Experience coaching managers through performance management and employee relations matters
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving organizations
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience using modern HRIS platforms (Paylocity experience strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Ideal Background
  • Experience supporting organizations in the 50–500 employee range
  • Proven ability to influence leadership and confidently challenge decisions when appropriate
  • Track record of career progression and increased responsibility
  • Someone who thrives in highly collaborative environments and enjoys wearing multiple hats

Work Environment
  • Hybrid schedule with in-office collaboration several days per week in New York City
