Compensation: $30-32/hour

 

Location: This position is onsite in Kent, Washington.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Operate manual and CNC lathe and milling machines proficiently.
  • Set up and utilize manual machining equipment, hand tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting measurements from micrometers, vernier calipers, and other gauges.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment as necessary.
  • Apply mathematical knowledge to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
  • Lay out and mark metal stock to indicate cutting placements.
  • Secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines.
  • Independently set up and run various mills and lathes.
  • Monitor machine feed and speed during machining operations.
  • Inspect completed parts to detect defects and ensure compliance with specifications.

 

Qualifications and Experience: 
  • Preferred experience of 2 to 5 years (more preferred) operating manual and/or CNC machines, mills, and lathes.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and requirements is advantageous.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret blueprints accurately.
