This company is hiring multiple employees because of growth and product demand. The Project Manager oversees new projects from contract initiation to completion, serving as the primary contact for both internal teams and external clients. This role requires subject matter expertise and represents the organization in interactions with project stakeholders, general contractors, and architects. Compensation: $80,000 to 90,000 salary (negotiable) plus bonus




Location: Tacoma, WA. This positions is onsite 5 days a week with no opportunity for remote or work-from-home work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee commercial and multi-family residential door, frame, and hardware projects from start to finish.
  • Maintain project budgets and financial goals to ensure profitability.
  • Develop and manage project timelines effectively.
  • Lead hiring, training, and performance reviews for assigned staff.
  • Track, assess, and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee and achieve monthly billing targets.
  • Provide regular updates on project schedules and status to leadership, subcontractors, and accounting.
  • Plan and manage pre-construction meetings, including discussions on material specifications, scheduling, and sequencing.
  • Monitor and communicate product lead times, ensuring customers understand requirements for approvals before orders are placed.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of door projects, particularly in the manufacturing and construction industries.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and responsiveness.
  • Foster productive relationships with vendors through clear and consistent communication.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to job sites.
  • Clearly communicate any project changes, submittal modifications, and updated construction documentation.
  • Provide necessary documentation to the shipping team to facilitate efficient, consolidated deliveries.
  • Deliver accurate and timely billing and projection data.
  • Track and report on costs associated with ongoing projects.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and accounting regarding outstanding change orders and follow up to secure payments for additional work.
  • Complete submittal packages, preliminary work, RFIs, ASIs, pricing adjustments, and project options.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.




Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in the door, frame, or hardware industry preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework or a bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role within the industry.
  • Willingness to visit job sites independently.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel by car, train, or airplane as needed.
  • Basic math skills, including fractions, and ability to read a tape measure.




Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, email, and internet use.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Emullion, or other industry-specific software.
  • Ability to create full submittal packages, including cabinet, door frame, and hardware schedules.
  • Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office tools for tracking and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of blueprints and architectural plans.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment.
  • Passion for customer satisfaction and a sense of urgency in meeting project goals.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as safety procedures and operational guidelines.
