Job Description


Rainier Recruiting is partnering with a precision machine shop supporting the aerospace and defense industries, with a focus on manufacturing complex parts for the F135 engine and other high-performance applications who is seeking a hands-on Materials Manager to oversee inventory control and serve as the future internal lead for our ERP system (NetSuite). This role is key to maintaining smooth production workflows and supporting operations such as purchasing, shipping, and production control. This is a tactical, onsite role that interfaces directly with shop floor activity and cross-functional operations. Location: 100% onsite in Auburn, WA.




Compensation and Work Environment:
  • Salary range: $60,000 – $84,000 depending on experience
  • Day shift (Monday to Friday), flexible start times between 7:00am–3:30pm
  • Some schedule flexibility; overtime as needed
  • Opportunity to work on mission-critical aerospace parts for both military and space applications

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and manage inventory operations for over 150 unique part numbers, including high-volume and repeat-run components (12–18" in size).
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert and go-to person for NetSuite ERP and MRP workflows, including work order release and system accuracy.
  • Monitor and support the shop floor workflow to ensure production is running efficiently and issues are addressed in real time.
  • Support purchasing and shipping/receiving as needed, including issuing POs, generating packing slips, and managing cert documentation.
  • Collaborate with the core team to implement and test NetSuite features, write work instructions, and drive user adoption.
  • Ensure external certifications and shipping documents are scanned and stored properly for easy access.
  • Back up functions in procurement and logistics during peak periods or absences.
  • Communicate effectively across departments to anticipate material needs and avoid shortages or delays.




Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of production control processes and manufacturing workflows — experience in a machine shop environment is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite experience is a strong plus).
  • Comfortable working hands-on in a low-office, high-production environment (only 6 office staff onsite).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities without direct reports, often wearing multiple hats.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly around documentation and certification tracking.
  • Must be able to reliably commute within 1 hour of the facility; this is an onsite-only role.
