Rainier Recruiting is partnering with a HVAC company on the West Coast who needs to hire another salesperson in Anchorage, AK. Compensation: $90,000 to $110,000 salary plus commission (negotiable)

Location: Hybrid onsite and Work-From-The-Field. Employees are expected to work occasionally out of the Anchorage, AK office while visiting with customers in person throughout the week.




Overview:

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be the face of the company, responsible for driving new business in the HVAC industry. This role requires someone who is passionate about sales, knowledgeable in HVAC, and ready to hit the ground running. You will spend 75% of your time out in the field, meeting with engineers, contractors, and other key stakeholders to promote and sell our products. The remaining 25% will be spent in the office, strategizing with our team and preparing for your next sales win.




Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the HVAC industry.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to engineers, contractors, and other potential clients.
  • Drive sales by being basis of design with engineers and being the first choice of contractors.
  • Collaborate with the team to leverage each member’s strengths and achieve collective sales goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring our products are specified in their projects.
  • Work independently without the need for supervision, managing your own schedule and sales pipeline.
  • Travel overnight as needed (expected to be less than 10%).




What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in outside sales within the HVAC industry.
  • A self-starter who describes themselves as a "hustler" with a passion for sales.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, with a proactive approach to managing tasks and time.
  • In-depth knowledge of the HVAC industry, including products, trends, and key players.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Neat, clean, professional deportment and appearance.
  • Comfortable handling multiple facets of the sales process including but not limited to: Material takeoffs, quoting, submittals, site visits, owner training, troubleshooting, etc.

Eric first learned how to find top-quality candidates and conduct effective interviews while still in school in 2008. In all his jobs since, he used that knowledge to help the company hire. In 2018, Eric became a full-time recruiter, mainly working on roles in the industrial and skilled trades industries. Since then, he has hired candidates from all industry sectors and walks of life.

Eric joined Rainier Recruiting in 2021, working from his home in the beautiful Willamette Valley in Oregon. Outside work, Eric enjoys playing tabletop games and spending time with his wife and two boys. Eric is one of the few Rainier Recruiting employees with a cat rather than a dog. His cat, Pirate, enjoys sitting on the keyboard while Eric tries to write emails. Pirate is especially fond of the letter rrrr.
