Serves as the point of contact for all payroll functions, resolving inquiries and discrepancies. This role focuses on data entry into the payroll system to ensure accurate payment of union-specific items and includes the reconciliation of paid time off. The position ensures employees are paid accurately and on time, complying with all relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities include timekeeping, data entry, reporting, record-keeping, audits, process improvement, training, compliance, and collaboration.




COMPENSATION: $100k base salary, negotiable




LOCATION: Onsite 4-5 days a week in Redmond, WA




RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage the payroll processing system, including access management, team assignments, timeclock access, balance reporting, timesheet verification, edits, audits, and discrepancy ticket management.

- Handle payroll communications and updates.

- Manage discrepancy tickets.

- Prepare reports such as AWR, Group Summary Report, and Labor reports.

- Oversee new hire processes.

- Manage tablets and requests.

- Conduct audits, including LOA and holiday pay eligibility.

- Assess financial impacts.

- Provide HR support, including final pays, LOA support, and promotions.

- Track monthly data and performance.

- Provide ongoing training for the payroll system.

- Partner with strategic teams to gather user feedback.

- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.




Union Environment:

- Support union accounting, including dues backup processing.

- Attend weekly union support meetings.

- Track training pay, bartending, and forklift training.

- Process union dues.

- Ensure part-time compliance without benefits.




Minimum Qualifications:

- 2-year college degree in Business/Accounting or 3 years of experience in payroll.

- Strong partnership skills.

- Dynamic and creative problem-solving abilities.

- Adept at managing multiple internal requests and deadlines.

- Ability to shift priorities for self and team on short notice.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Proficient in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
