Compensation: $120, 000-$150, 000 salary plus up to 10% bonus annually.

 

Location: Seattle, WA, Long Beach, CA, or Jacksonville FL. This role will include a combination of travel, office, home, and field work. Employees can expect to work in an office at least 3 days a week. The hired employees must live in the general Seattle, WA, Long Beach, CA, or Jacksonville, FL areas.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Manage network communications using off-the-shelf software applications and configure standard personal computing or mobile devices.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and manage applications and systems, including creating and managing groups, reviewing release notes, applying updates, and more.
  • Identify enhancements to meet customer requirements and address recurring issues.
  • Assist in evaluating, developing, and implementing operating system enhancements to improve the reliability, scalability, sustainability, and availability of the server environment.
  • Perform software installations, upgrades, apply updates, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to implement solutions and internal management tools.
  • Drive automation of application deployment, monitoring requirements, and incident resolutions.




 

Qualifications and Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience, preferably with certifications in RedHat (OEL), VMware, Microsoft, MCSA, MCSD, and / or MCSE.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing position or technology-related work, providing support.
  • Experience in supporting technology within the transportation or logistics industry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and recovering large systems under demanding conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Microsoft Windows Server technologies, including shared storage such as SAN and NAS.
  • Proficiency in Middleware/messaging systems like Tibco, Wildfly, and AMQ.
  • Solid understanding of SQL queries, with preference given to experience with Oracle SQL and/or MySQL.
  • Familiarity with virtualization, TCP/IP, and Active Directory.
