A new Regional Sales Manager position has opened due to company growth. Rainier Recruiting has partnered with a capital equipment company (average product prices are $100-400k per product) experiencing growth. This is a sales driven company-the current President started in this sales Regional Sales Manager position, and the company prides themselves on supporting the sales teams. Compensation: $$90k+ base salary // $250k OTE, negotiable

 

Location: This position covers WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, and Western Canada. Most of the business is in the major metropolitan centers. Employees can expect to travel within the territory to visit customers and close business as necessary. Employees can live anywhere within the territory, but preference is given to those who live between the Seattle and Portland regions.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Identify new business opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Prospect and qualify leads, and develop relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring profitability.
  • Manage and maintain client relationships, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, effectively communicating product features and benefits.
  • Analyze sales data and reports to identify trends and develop sales forecasts.
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing initiatives to promote our products and services.
  • Capable to handle moderately complex tendering process; from implementing proper costing process, precise tender clarifications and preparations of documentation submissions requirements
  • Meticulous towards contractual management and negotiations




 

Qualifications and Experience: 
  • 5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the capital equipment industry.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving business goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (for trade shows)
  • Current Drivers License
  • Degree in Engineering, business administration, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • History of selling products with a similar price point, $100k-$350k
  • Conducts most meetings in person, not looking for someone who wants to works from home 4+ days a week
  • Track record of closing 20-50 deals a year
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Organized

Eric first learned how to find top-quality candidates and conduct effective interviews while still in school in 2008. In all his jobs since, he used that knowledge to help the company hire. In 2018, Eric became a full-time recruiter, mainly working on roles in the industrial and skilled trades industries. Since then, he has hired candidates from all industry sectors and walks of life.

Eric joined Rainier Recruiting in 2021, working from his home in the beautiful Willamette Valley in Oregon.
