This Business Development Manager works within a Building Solutions division. They are responsible for sales growth of pipe and fitting products by generating sustained demand and positioning our products as the preferred choice among engineers, builders, distributors and contractors. Compensation: $120,000 to $150,000 salary plus bonus

Location: 100% remote in Southern California. Candidates can live and work anywhere in the Southern California and must be willing to travel within Southern California to visit customers.







Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Business Development Manager include:
  • Selling our complete range of products, including plumbing, residential fire systems, radiant heating, snow/ice melt systems, and pre-insulated piping solutions.
  • Conducting market research to evaluate opportunities for our products in the assigned region.
  • Collaborating with Sales Management to define and implement territory strategies, while coordinating efforts on major accounts with other Business Development Managers.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, customers, distributors, and Manufacturer Representatives.
  • Managing and expanding the sales territory by overseeing customer accounts, distribution channels, and Manufacturer Reps.
  • Driving business growth by fostering demand through direct engagement with contractors, engineers, and distributors.
  • Promoting our solutions to the full supply chain to stimulate market interest.
  • Identifying and tracking both commercial and residential sales opportunities to achieve sales targets.
  • Leading training sessions for engineers, contractors, and distributors alongside Manufacturer Representatives.
  • Using Salesforce.com to input and track project opportunities and ensure data accuracy.
  • Maintaining up-to-date customer records and logging visits and opportunities in Salesforce.com.
  • Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales targets set by management while ensuring customer profitability.




Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience in the plumbing or related industry.
  • Must reside in Southern California, as this is a home-based role.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and understand project management workflows.
  • Demonstrated success in securing new accounts and influencing project specifications.
  • Strong networking skills with a proven ability to engage key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills to address customer concerns and support effective decision-making.
  • Highly organized, capable of meeting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and performing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset, able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proven ability to set and achieve sales goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Salesforce.com is advantageous.
  • Willing to travel 50–60% of the time.
