About the Opportunity

A long-standing, growth-focused organization is hiring a Sales Manager to take ownership of its sales function and lead the next phase of expansion.

This is not a “maintain the status quo” role — this is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll step in, evaluate the current team and processes, and build a more structured, scalable sales engine.

You’ll inherit a team that includes inside sales reps, field sales, and account managers, with a mix of new and tenured talent. The environment is collaborative but needs stronger process, coaching, and consistency to reach its full potential.

If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, coaching in real time, and building structure where it doesn’t yet exist, this role will be a strong fit.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead & Develop the Sales Team
  • Oversee a blended team of inside sales, field reps, and account managers
  • Coach reps directly — including call coaching, ride-alongs, and live deal support
  • Establish expectations around activity, follow-up, and pipeline management
  • Develop a culture of accountability, consistency, and performance

Build Structure & Improve Execution
  • Refine sales processes, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Bring discipline to pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM usage
  • Reintroduce and formalize sales training programs and onboarding structure
  • Help stabilize and develop a team with several newer hires

Drive Growth & Market Expansion
  • Lead sales efforts across an entire regional territory with significant growth opportunity
  • Support expansion into new, underserved geographic areas
  • Drive upsell and upgrade initiatives across an existing customer base
  • Partner with leadership on go-to-market strategy and territory planning

Collaborate & Influence at the Executive Level
  • Present updates, insights, and strategy recommendations to senior leadership
  • Work cross-functionally with operations and service teams to align delivery and capacity
  • Help shape the long-term vision of the sales organization

Team & Environment Snapshot
  • Team includes inside sales reps, field reps, and account managers
  • Mix of experienced and newly hired team members
  • Majority of business is high-volume, relationship-driven sales with upsell opportunities
  • Established presence in part of the region, with significant room for expansion elsewhere
  • CRM environment includes Salesforce and additional sales tools

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience leading sales teams in a multi-channel environment
  • Background in technology, infrastructure, utilities, or related industries strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to build process, structure, and accountability within a sales team
  • Hands-on leadership style — willing to coach, jump into calls, and lead from the front
  • Strong experience with pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM systems
  • Comfortable operating in both structured and evolving environments
  • Ability to influence leadership and present at the executive level

Additional helpful backgrounds:
  • Experience in subscription-based or service-oriented sales models
  • Exposure to regulated environments or contract-driven sales
  • Background in security systems, connectivity, or technical solutions sales

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $75,000 – $115,000 (max base firm)
  • On-Target Earnings: ~$150K realistic (higher upside possible)

Additional Details
  • 100% onsite in Freeland, WA (approx. 20 minutes from ferry access)
  • Candidates based in surrounding areas (Lynnwood, Mukilteo, Arlington, Lake Stevens, Oak Harbor, etc.) are encouraged to apply
  • ~10–15% travel, including occasional international travel (must be eligible)
  • Background check, drug screening, and credit check required
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
