A new Software Engineering role has opened due to growth with this "AI for law" software engineering company. We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer to design and build production-ready interfaces for AI-driven systems that perform complex, reasoning-based tasks. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with technical leadership, domain experts, and the product team to bring intelligent workflows to life—powering real-world applications used by professionals around the world. Compensation: $170,000-$250,000 base salary (negotiable based on experience) plus equity.

Location: 100% onsite in Flatiron area of Manhattan, New York. Employees must be a US citizen or US Person living in the United States and able to work without sponsorship.

What You’ll Do
  • Create powerful, user-friendly interfaces: Develop clean, responsive UIs with React and TypeScript that seamlessly integrate with advanced AI workflows.
  • Build from concept to launch: Rapidly prototype, test, and refine new features in close collaboration with users and internal teams.
  • Design for AI-native experiences: Implement streaming interfaces, procedural workflows, and long-running tasks that enable efficient interaction with modern AI systems.

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: 4+ years building production-level web applications; open to strong fullstack developers with a frontend focus.
  • Startup background: Prior experience at a fast-growing, successful startup strongly preferred.
  • Education: Degree from a top university if not coming from a recognized high-growth tech company.
  • Technical expertise: Deep knowledge of TypeScript, React, and Next.js; familiarity with ShadCN components or similar UI frameworks.
  • Craftsmanship: Proven ability to design polished, intuitive, and efficient user interfaces with strong attention to detail and usability.
  • Work setting: Must be willing to work onsite five days a week in New York City.
  • Impact orientation: Resume should reflect measurable results and user impact—not just technical implementation details.
  • Mindset: Independent contributor comfortable taking ownership, collaborating cross-functionally, and iterating quickly in a dynamic environment.

  • Primarily contract or freelance backgrounds
  • Recent remote-only roles
  • Management experience (this is an individual contributor position)
