The Senior Manager of Data and Customer Marketing Analytics will be instrumental in enhancing our ecommerce platform and driving business growth. The Senior Manager of Data and Customer Marketing Analytics will lead the strategy, execution, and improvement of data analysis to strengthen customer acquisition, retention, and overall marketing performance. This role will oversee data collection, analysis, and interpretation to generate insights that guide marketing strategies and business decisions. Compensation & Benefits:
  • Annual salary: $120,000–$130,000 plus 20+ percent bonus (negotiable).

Location: Bellevue, WA. This position is onsite Mon-Thurs with an option to work-from-home on Fridays.




Responsibilities:

Marketing Analytics & Performance Optimization
  • Develop and implement a data-driven marketing strategy to improve customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Analyze multi-channel marketing performance (paid media, email, social, web, CRM, etc.) and provide actionable insights.
  • Manage attribution modeling, marketing mix analysis, and campaign measurement to enhance ROI.
  • Work with marketing, product, and sales teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and create dashboards to monitor progress.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis on market trends and performance when needed.

Customer Insights & Segmentation
  • Lead customer segmentation, behavioral analysis, and lifecycle modeling to improve targeted marketing efforts.
  • Use predictive analytics and machine learning to anticipate customer trends and enhance targeting.
  • Leverage first-party, third-party, and zero-party data to improve customer understanding and engagement.
  • Identify and implement strategies to maximize customer lifetime value (LTV) and reduce churn.

Data Strategy & Governance
  • Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance across marketing platforms and CRM systems.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for data collection, integration, and governance.
  • Collaborate with IT, engineering, and data science teams to strengthen data infrastructure and analytical capabilities.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Create and deliver executive-level reports and presentations on market trends and performance.
  • Communicate data-driven insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and ongoing experimentation.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs):
  • Marketing ROI: Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing spend across channels.
  • Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC): Measure the cost of acquiring new customers.
  • Attribution Accuracy: Assess the effectiveness of marketing attribution models.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Monitor improvements in campaign and platform conversion rates.
  • Customer Lifetime Value (LTV): Track revenue generated per customer over time.
  • Churn Rate: Measure customer retention and analyze factors contributing to churn.
  • Segmentation Effectiveness: Evaluate how well-defined segments improve personalization and engagement.
  • Repeat Purchase Rate: Track the percentage of customers making repeat purchases.
  • Data Accuracy and Integrity: Monitor the completeness, consistency, and reliability of marketing data.
  • Data Processing Efficiency: Measure the time taken to collect, process, and analyze data.
  • First-Party Data Utilization: Track the percentage of marketing efforts using first-party data for personalization.




Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data analysis, customer insights, or marketing analytics.
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, R, or similar data analysis tools.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, CDPs, CRM systems).
  • Deep understanding of attribution modeling, customer segmentation, and digital marketing metrics.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and working cross-functionally.
  • Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
