Key Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance and repairs on complex mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems for various customer equipment and tools, using a high level of independent judgment.
Responsible for documenting services and providing training to junior technicians when needed.
Accurately order necessary parts from vendors and travel to customer sites as required.
Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn or damaged parts.
Address diesel engine issues by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and systems, including power trains, drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, and emissions.

Location: Seattle, WA or Providence, RI. This position is onsite 3 days a week and work from home 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical systems for marine vessels in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, and best practices.
Conduct feasibility studies and design trade-offs to determine optimal solutions for various shipboard systems.
Perform detailed engineering calculations related to propulsion, HVAC, auxiliary, and other onboard mechanical systems.
Develop and review engineering drawings, system schematics, technical specifications, and documentation for regulatory and cost estimation purposes.
Lead small-to-mid-size engineering teams, manage project scope and schedules, assign tasks, and prepare technical proposals.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into overall vessel designs.
Stay informed of industry trends, technological advancements, and emerging standards to enhance design processes.
Provide mentorship and technical support to junior staff and project team members.

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of relevant experience in maritime or consulting engineering environments.
Bachelorâs degree in marine engineering, mechanical engineering, naval architecture, electrical engineering, or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within the first year of employment.
Proficiency in CAD and modeling tools such as AutoCAD, Rhino3D, and SolidWorks, as well as Microsoft Office software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, technical report writing ability, and effective teamwork and problem-solving capabilities.
Familiarity with relevant regulatory bodies and standards, such as ABS Rules and CFR Title 46.
Authorization to work in the United States. Candidates must have unrestricted work eligibility or qualify for a TN visa.

Additional Requirements:

Willingness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and fieldwork.
Valid driverâs license, passport, and/or TWIC card may be required for certain assignments.

Experience with composites lamination.
Ideal experience includes hand lamination and/or vacuum infusion.

What you'll do:

The Electrician is responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and repairing electrical systems and components on yachts in various stages of construction.

Our Electricians run a lot of cable. You will help wire up the entire boat and all of its systems. Custom yachts can have 100+ unique systems that all need power and our Electricians run all of this cable. It is a mixture of residential, commercial and industrial electrical work.
Performing electrical work as part of a team
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, controls, appliances, fixtures, lighting, audio/visual, low voltage systems, etc.
Able to read drawings, blueprints, technical data, schematics, etc.
Creating and installing wireways and raceways in overheads, bulkheads, walls, and other areas of the boat

What you'll do:

The Carpenter conducts rough and finish carpentry, constructs and installs various interior and exterior components for yachts in various stages of construction.

Construction and installation of shipâs structural parts including sub floors, studded walls, windows, doors, hatches, decking, fiberglass structural Construction and installation of shipâs finish cabinetry, flooring, wall panels, ceiling panels, trim, owner furnished equipment, etc.
Set up and operate variety of stationary woodworking machines including table saws, band saws, edge banders, etc
Operate variety of handheld woodworking tools including routers, saws, staple gun, drills, drivers, etc.
Utilizing construction drawings, specifications, and other material to construct and install parts
Safe operation of equipment and tools including; table saws, band saws, stationary saws, edge bander, routers, air tools, vacuum units
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and ensure that all tools, materials, and flammable chemicals are stored properly
Other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

To succeed, you will be eager to grow and learn, have a great attitude, and be able to pay close attention to detail.

3+ years as an Carpenter.
Any mixture of residential, commercial and industrial electrical work is acceptable, but high quality of craftsmanship is essential.
Stand/walk for 8+ hours per day
Frequent use of stairs, ramps, ladders and stools
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
Extended periods of overhead work
Bend, kneel and crawl on a regular basis
Frequent and repetitive arm and hand motions, handling, grasping, etc
Frequent reaching below knees, knees to shoulders and above shoulders
Wear necessary personal protection equipment including respiratory protection equipment, safety glasses/goggles, rubber gloves, coveralls, hearing protection, fall protection, etc.
Clear vision (with or without corrective lenses)
Hearing as needed to recognize alarms
